reply to carlalima's post #44Hello, I'm Sophie from Belgium. My pupils are French speaking (I teach pupils between 12 and 14 years old) and are also looking for penfriends to improve their English in a fun way. I've got a class of 19 pupils (1st year of English), but I could ask other teachers to extend that number... Tell me if you're interested...

reply to granny's post #46Hello Galina,
My students can't be really interested in having pen-pals because they all already have some (British, German and Spanish sometimes !) but if you happen to be interested in having information about French or something else, I can correspond with you with pleasure. Mary. (from France).

Hello everybody! I ´m a PHD student in Madrid, Spain and I would like to organize an exchange! I ´m investigating the use of new technologies in language learning, and I ´d like to match a native Spanish group studying English and native English group studying Spanish using Wiki for some time! The idea is that they become Pen Palls during some period, correct each other and I would analyse the mistakes and improvements for my thesis. I think a Secondary school or a University group with an intermediate level would be perfect.
It´s difficult for me because I don ´t have a group myself, but I think it would be good for everybody, your students could benefit by having native speakers as Pen Palls who ´d correct them, that way they ´d be more motivated to improve their English/Spanish and I would have material for my thesis!
If anybody is interested, feel free to contact me!

I have just started to consider what i will be preparing with my children in regards to contact with other schools.
Next year i would like to organize an art project with schools from around Europe.
The topic might be peace traditions or some thing else, the project would involve schools painting designing a poster of exsprestion. They would write some thing about it or a poem. Each school that participated would in turn receive the collection of posters to have an exhabition with in there school to raise funds for the school or a charity of there choosing.
I have been working on this web site to help teachers and students obtain a clearer understanding of what we might archive. There have be some very positive responses from countries like,Italy Croatia,Romania,Israel Portugal,Slovenia,,Spain and France so far.
The time taken to produce a mural can be divided over a period of time and in lunch times too.You could use this project as a reward or insentive builder.Do you think that any of your students would be interested?.
Please take a look and tell me your thoughts.
