Dear Colleagues!
You may have noticed that the site has been slow again for some time. We've been aware of this, and have been looking for a solution since. At the momenbt we're working on putting the site on a new infrastructure that will be more resilient to the increasing load arising from the rapidly growing membership.
First, we hired a server expert who's going to be available for our staff to monitor the performance of the site on a regular basis and make modifications when needed.
Second, we've reached a point where 1 server is not enough to serve the site any longer, even if we keep increasing its computing resources. Therefore, over the past few weeks we've designed a new IT infrastructure to serve the site, and this week we're going to move iSLCollective.com onto a cluster of 5 interrelated servers!
It's a complicated process and takes some time to implement, but we hope this setup will prove to be easier to scale and will provide a more balanced performance at any time of the day, so it will be worth all the work and the money.
I'll keep you posted with new updates in case we should need to switch off the site for the time of the moving toward the end of this week.

Hi!
I just want to let you know that whenever I want to download a worksheet, the downloading fails. I tried to upload a worksheet and is was okay. So what seems to be the problem?
I read your note, I noticed how slow the site has been but I've never had problems downloading until this moment. Thank you for your efforts. Please forward an answer.

We are going to move the site to the new server cluster on February 15, 2013, at 11:00 am Central European Time. We expect it to be a one hour process, but please be prepared should it take longer.

I am having trouble getting the page to work on my Mac. Work fine on my PC. But on my Mac it won't let me log in and when I click on 'login problem' nothing happens. Any advice for this problem?

The main page load time was less than 1.5 seconds here in Chiba, Japan. :)
