Here are three different uses for these materials:

1. Memory Game! It can be used as a memory game. Cut our the cards and either use stick tac (or tape) to place them on the board and the children have to try to match the pictures with the words. Every time they flip over a card they have to say the name of the picture. I suggest that you glue coloured paper on the backs of the cards so that they are more difficult to see through.

2. Category Game! Print and cut out the verbs. Put the verbs at the top of the board and put either the picture of the animal or the word in the appropriate category. Ex. A parrot can fly, so put it in the "Fly" category. A parrot can't swim, so it can't go into that category.

3. Can/Can't! If you are learning can and can't you can have the students make sentences when they put it into the category. Ex. A tiger can run. A tiger can't fly
