This is a power point presentation about the United Kingdom. Elementary and Pre-intermediate students learn about British traditions, landmarks, history, food, popular people... By looking at the pictures and reading the questions, students must speak about this topic and have fun. I usually ask my students to make a poster about the Uk when they finish watching the power point presentation.

'This is Britain' is a fun, fact-filled exercise, for students at beginner and intermediate level alike.
The first part can be used as a simple oral reading exercise and includes basic information about Great Britain (GB), and a short quiz on capital cities etc.
Then the students must look at some intersesting facts about GB and decide which of them are false. Answers are provided. This could be used as a single activity for a whole class with oral explanation of key British topics/icons and asking students questions about 'weird' laws in their country.
