I give the article for homework.
The next class we check homework and talk about vocabulary and expressions.
Students then work together in discussing and completing the various activities.
This lesson was designed for a 2 hour class for adult intermediates.

***NOTE!***
Talking about stereotypes is always a little controversial so be careful! I focused more on softening the students' language than on correcting their ridiculous stereotypes.

What would you ask an alien? Just recently a lot of questions were submitted by internet users to SETI, an organization looking for aliens. Here´s the task: Imagine you are an alien who these questions found. Work with a human partner. Choose five of them that you want to answer and have 1-minute conversations about them with the human (See an example dialog in ws). When you’re done answering all the questions, swap roles with him/her. The ws includes both serious and funny questions, so every one of your students will find ones to suit their taste. See a lot of vocab exercises with solutions on the following pages. Enjoy! :) Bless up, Kisdobos PS Thx to Adam, Zita and Evi for the feedback!
