After listening, filling in and sharing their ideas about the lyrics, the students will fill the blanks with the present perfect or the simple past and then choose the sentences in which both are possible. The keys are included in the second page and the worksheet is completely editable / correctable, hope you can use it. Thanks for downloading and have a nice day!

Student Type: high school Grammar: Vocabulary: 30 likes 1779 downloads (with Answer Key) This worksheet is based on the song The Show Must Go On by British rock band Queen. Before listening, the students are given a number of words from the lyrics and are asked to rewrite them in rhyming pairs. Then they try to complete the lyrics using these rhyming pairs. They listen to the song and check their answers. Finally, they do a vocabulary matching exercise so that they can understand the lyrics better. I have also included a short factual text (adapted from Wikipedia), which will help Ss get a wider understanding of the song.

Student Type: adult, high school, business/professional Grammar: Vocabulary: Feelings 6 likes 707 downloads This practices zero conditional by giving a situation and students must choose an emotion or feeling to correspond. Then they must say what they do when/if they feel a certain way. There is also a song: "If I can't have you."
Level: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2)
Student Type: adult, high school, business/professional Grammar: Conditionals Vocabulary: Feelings 10 likes 645 downloads This is a simple song activity. I tried to avoid the usual "fill-in the gaps" kind of activity, so, if you have some more time to spend, try to play the song before they read the lyrics, and have them trying to listen how many times they sing "gonna" and "will". Another idea, if they are creative, you can all discuss about the story. What is she going to do about the situation? How is the boyfriend going to react?
If you have any other ideas on how to use this, please share! Thank you very much!
