This is an information-gap activity for ss to do some oral work in pairs. One of them has got info. that the other hasn´t got, therefore, they will have to ask each other questions to get their missing info. With these cards they´ll have practice on questions and in the use of simple verbs in the 3rd person singular of the present simple. For tennagers/adults.FULLY EDITABLE!!! SUGGESTED FOLLOW-UP: ss can take down notes so as to make full-blown sentences after the oral work( e.g.: Tom/get up/8.05 a.m = "Tom gets up at 8.05 am every morning") Hope you enjoy it! leave your comments. Your students have to answer "Can you?" questions. I tried to write questions that are a little bit out of the ordinary, e.g. Can you teach a monkey to tell the time?, Can you rap?, etc. First, they answer with a short “Yes, I can” or “No, I can’t.” Then they tell their partner a bit more, eg. “No, I can’t. But I don’t think it’s possible. Monkeys can be intelligent but not that intelligent.” See sample answers for each question on Page 2. With elementary speakers, just omit the long answers and stay focused on the short answers. Bless up, Kisdobos
