Co-founder Peter Laszlo's Message

Dear colleagues!

We hope that you found a lot of joy in using our materials in 2017! As it is the time of our traditional Christmas Fundraiser, we are asking you to consider becoming a Supporting Member on iSLCollective. Your help - no matter the amount - makes a huge difference!

We will use the incoming proceeds to maintain and continuously improve the site. The majority of our expenditure is comprised of staff salaries and internet bills:

Maintenance, data backup, servers, bandwidth, development, search engine optimization. We serve between 100-150,000 teachers every day so we have to maintain a powerful and reliable back-end infrastructure.

8 iSLCollective staff members make sure that every aspect of the technological and administrative side of the operations is covered professionally.

Finally, let me tell you what our team has accomplished in 2017:

1) We rewrote the code of the worksheet pages from scratch to make them load faster.

2) If you are printing a worksheet directly from iSLCollective, you may have noticed that we made the iSLCollective watermark smaller and placed it lower in the document so that it doesn't block out the contents of the worksheet.

3) We improved the Mypage menu to help you find your favorited resources and your own uploads/creationsmore easily.

4) We added a Next worksheet button on the worksheet page to help you comb through worksheets faster.

5) We added a voting module on each worksheet page that shows you what level that worksheet is most suitable for according to other colleagues.

6) We added new servers for the site to run smoothly even when the site is seeing 150 thousand visits per day.

7) We provided technical support for our users throughout the year.

8) And finally, we added a host of improvements to our video lessons section.

Donating is loving, so please show your love by making a donation - whatever you can afford - to keep iSLCollective alive and strong in 2018.

Bless up,

Peter Laszlo
iSLCollective Co-founder

As a special thank you, we will remove all ads from the site for you during your Supporting Membership period.

"I'm teaching German in a primary schools in France - children from 5 to 11 years. Until now I didn't find books and workbooks for this age. On iSLCollective I can find cute worksheets for every theme. I also found many ideas about how to explain things in many different ways. Often I used worksheets in English and translated them into German, because the way of explaining things was so good."

iSLCOLLECTIVE helps me almost every week - either as an inspiration for my own lessons or as the source of much needed exercises for revision/topics for discussion etc. Therefore I decided to donate without any hesitation.

Why have I become a sponsor? Because you deserve it! You offer so many resources for teachers that I feel obliged to support you. Thanks and keep going!

"Being a member of ISLCollective for the last few years has helped me professionally. Now, I do not worry about not having the right material for my classes, because I know if I don't have time to create it myself, I'll find it at ISLCollective. There are fantastic contributors, whose work is really motivating and useful. I have tried other sites, but I always come back to this one. It's here that I usually find what I need for my students. That's why I have been supporting the site since the beginning both with money and by uploading my own worksheets. I do hope Peter and his team will be able to keep it working with our support and for our sake."
  • " l have been using this site for several years and l find it very interesting. It has helped me a lot in preparing for my lessons. I use iSLCollective every day. It makes my job easier and helps my students learn in a funnier way. l advise everybody to sponsor iSLCollective, it's worth it! Dear authors and admins, thanks for your efforts!"
  • "I am sponsoring iSL as I've been using the site for at least 5 years...from kids to adults...and every time it has been a life saver. Easy to use, easy to nav, and just great in every way. Keep up the amazing work."
  • "Firstly, Merry Christmas! I have run an English Institute in Cyprus for many years! I was introduced to iSLCOLLECTIVE about 4 years ago and use it constantly. Sometimes I'm looking for a quick extension for class, a game or a worksheet for homework. I never fail to find just what I'm looking for in just a couple of minutes. A huge timesaver! So if you are like me, downloading and too lazy to create your own material, the least you can do is send the team a donation. Be generous; it's Christmas!!"
  • "Unfortunately I don't teach anymore but I was so greatful for all those beautiful different sorts worksheets. And I think everybody should consider sponsoring because, let's face it, nothing is for free. There are big charges just for running your website and if not us, who else should participate on paying. Thank you""
  • "Just think: most of you are teachers or people who get a benefit from ISL Collective. You would probably ask your students the same thing: do the right thing! And we will be doing the right thing if we recognise the effort of those who make available this amazing collection of activities. they save us time and work. Isn't that worth anything? Would you work for free? Your help makes a whole lotta difference! Thanks!!"
  • "I think iSLCollective is the best place to find and share all type of resources we may need for any type of students, not only children but also teenagers and adults, at any level and ready to use with just a click.. It is really easy to find anything we need and to share activities with other teachers from all over the world, .Becoming a sponsor and supporting ISLCollective is the best way to keep on providing teachers with lots of resources to ease our daily work and to say "thank you very much; keep on working.

Our plans for 2018

We have big plans for 2018. We would like to further develop our new video lesson platform. For example, we'd like to improve class work with video lessons. We would like to replace paper answer sheets and enable you to let your students submit their answers via their mobile phone or tablet while you are showing them the video lesson on the big screen.

We also want to enable you to organize competitions between them, even pairing them up virtually, to motivate them even better.

Besides, we are planning to let you create virtual classes on iSLCollective and add your students to your class, so you can assign them video homework and check if they have done it, and how well they did in a particular video lesson.

Q: How does paying work?

You can choose to select a monthly amount to pay every month or you can make a one-time payment. We are happiest for recurring payments, which means you authorize us to automatically charge your Paypal account or bank card every month - until you cancel it. So if you're thinking about whether to pay 15 euros once, or 3-5 euros every month, please choose a smaller, but monthly amount. Of course, we are immensely grateful for one-time payments, as well!

In either case, technically you pay in your national currency, and our bank will exchange it. The currencies indicated in the payment box are there to give you a better idea of how much you are going to pay.

We are glad to answer any questions at info [at] islcollective [dot] com or +36 30 638 7470.

Q: I am considering paying a small amount every month. How does this work?

Paying every month (monthly recurring payment)

If you select "PAY MONTHLY" in the pay box above, it means that you are going to make a payment every month, and with your authorization this amount will be debited (=charged) by iSLCollective automatically on the monthly anniversary of the first payment, until of course, you stop your payments.

You can easily stop your automatic monthly payments by going to the History/support sub menu in your MyPage (click on your avatar in the top right corner). There you will find a link that takes you directly to the page on where you can stop the payments. In case of CCBill (our bank card payment processor), you just have to reply to the payment confirmation email they have sent you, and they will cancel your recurring payment within a few hours.

Recurring payment works both with PayPal and your bank card. Your account will be upgraded to "iSLCollectve Sponsor" right after successful payment.

Q: I'd like to pay 15 dollars, but only once. Can I do that, too?

Paying just once

Sure. If you select "PAY ONCE" in the pay box above, you will be charged your selected amount only once. Your account will be upgraded to "iSLCollective Sponsor" immediately after successful payment.

Q: What payment methods can I choose from?

1. PayPal

In case of using Paypal, the actual payment takes place on PayPal's secure site. If you create a PayPal account, in most countries you can also pay with your debit or credit card.

Experiencing problems when trying with PayPal? Contact us at info [at] islcollective [dot] com, or try the next option.

2. Bank Card

You can also pay securely with your debit or credit card on, the site of our international payment gateway partner. We have chosen CCBill because it is well-known and trustworthy provider for processing electronic payments.

Experiencing problems when trying to donate with your bank card? You can try using your bank card with PayPal, too. For many people it works, as well. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info [at] islcollective [dot] com.

Q: I need the invoice after my payment made out in the name of my school/company. Where can I give you the invoice details?

1. In case of Paypal payments

As a default, you will be issued an invoice using the name and address you provided in your PayPal account. If you would like us to make out the invoice to a different name and address, you can request that on the next page before you get to Paypa's page to finish the payment.

2. In case of debit/credit card payments

As a default, you will be issued an invoice using the name and address you provide on our payment form (Step 1 of payment: "Confirming your order").

Hi Sylvie,

Thanks for pointing out the flagging bug. We found out about it soon before the Christmas break. We will try to find its cause and fix it as soon as possible. Until then please report copied work to our helpdesk at info [at] islcollective [dot] com.

Regarding the sponsorship, it is valid for 1 year, it's a legal thing, has to do with the laws of Hungary. Of course, we are grateful for your past contributions, and we think of you as a sponsor. When you make your next donation, your status will switch to sponsor again.

Thanks again for your continued support of iSLCollective, and I wish you a happy new year!

Dear team,
I am sorry to discover I am not a "sponsor" anymore : I have donated so much to ISL - since the beginning ! I might need some time - but no : the date is over.
I guess you are into "business" , ????
Mind you, I still log in, and I've discovered I cannot 'red flag' copies. A new surprise for 2018.
I am terribly sorry people can copy ( ie : Herber PPTs ) and be Ok with their "theft".
I usually give my money in January or February....

I wish you all a very happy new year. Please, keep this site "simple and honest."
Best wishes,

Dear Colleague,

If you had paid via Paypal , you would need to login to your Paypal account.

As I can see in our admin system you sent your donation via CCBill ,so you can stop your automatic monthly payments by replying to the email you received from CCBill.

In your email simply tell them to cancel your payments. Besides there are three other ways to cancel :

Best wishes,

Dear Sir
I have just made a donation for isl collective but I missed the option, I clicked GIVE MONTHLY instead of GIVE ONCE. Is it possible to change the option? Otherwise I will have to change through my bank.
Thank you
