I just had to look up a word online, "pittance", which means "a sadly small amount of something, e.g. money". I found it here: http://sentence.yourdictionary.com

I'm posting it here because this dictionary also provides an abundance of examples of the word in actual sentences. I always have to use different online dictionaries to find sentence examples for a word, and now maybe this one could be the answer when it comes to examples.

What online dictionaries do you guys recommend? Where do you go to find sentence examples?

My favourite online dictionaries are Macmillan and Collins Dictionary. They are comprehensive and easy to use. They provide examples in sentences, common collocations, synonyms ... You should try them. :)
