This is a lesson I designed for adults and teens to introduce them to some of the weird names British dishes have, as well as to develop their ability to define lexis. There is also a TBL element to encourage group work and fluency. Ensure that you read the teacher notes fully in order to use it effectively. I have, as usual, included full teacher notes. Please check out the link in the header, too, where you can find my website with many other things, useful especially if you teach in Japan or China.

The above downloadable worksheet is best suited for high school students and adults at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is a useful material for practising Adjectives and Nouns in English, and can be used for developing your students' Speaking skills. It is focused on the topic and words of Food. It includes a key, too.

I am a CELTA-qualified English language teacher with over eight years of experience in three countries. I lived in China and Japan for two and a half years each, so I speak and read Chinese and Japanese. I love teaching English and learning languages. Apart from that, I'm very interested in history, politics, philosophy and music.
