For this activity, you should show the students the following two short videos;
The Christmas Truce (approx 3:30mins long) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF2JBb1bvM
The Man on the Moon (approx 2mins long) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuz2ILq4UeA
While they watch them, they should make notes on their worksheets about the story, their feelings, and what they think the message or moral of the story is. After watching the videos, the students can use their notes to have a discussion as a class.

I printed the worksheets two to an A4 page making them A5 size each.

The first video, The Christmas Truce, is a true story based in the trenches of World War 1. There are no violent scenes and it is both suitable for children and truly heartwarming. It has previously been shown on UK television in the daytime. I still suggest that you watch it before showing it to young children to make sure you are happy with the content.

This printable, downloadable handout is a great resource for high school students, elementary school students and adults at Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It can be used for honing your groups' Listening, Speaking and Writing skills. It centers around the topic and words of Christmas.
