Consonant Clusters (Blends) /spr/
A consonant cluster (sometimes known as a consonant blend) is a group of consonants that appear together in a word without any vowels between them. When reading clusters, each letter within the cluster is pronounced individually. The following worksheet and activity help with initial clusters.

The present printable, downloadable handout is intended for high school students and elementary school students at Beginner (pre-A1), Elementary (A1) and Pre-intermediate (A2) level. It is great for revising Consonants and vowels and Phonetics (pronunciation, IPA, phonetic symbols) in English, and is a valuable material for enhancing your class' Listening, Spelling and Reading skills.
