Consonant Clusters (Blends) /spr/
A consonant cluster (sometimes known as a consonant blend) is a group of consonants that appear together in a word without any vowels between them. When reading clusters, each letter within the cluster is pronounced individually. The following worksheet and activity help with initial clusters.

The present downloadable teaching material is a great resource for elementary school students and kindergartners and nursery school students at Beginner (pre-A1), Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is aimed at consolidating Consonants and vowels and Phonetics (pronunciation, IPA, phonetic symbols) in English, and is useful for enhancing your class' Spelling, Reading and Writing skills.
