Pictures of dangers in the home with a speaking and writing exercise to supplement a lesson about accidents in a domestic environment. I had a lesson about the importance of smoke alarms and how to maintain them using information from our local New Zealand Fire Service.

The present downloadable handout was created for adults at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is a useful material for consolidating SHOULD, SHOULDN'T in English, and is excellent for improving your class' Speaking, Reading and Writing skills. It features the topic and words of Accidents and Home.

Hi! I live in New Zealand and teach low-level and often pre-literate refugees and migrants where the emphasis is on communication before proficiency! Speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing are the skills these students want and need first to survive in their new environment. Very interesting!
