Students look at some pictures of historical people and match them to their names. Then They match them to their occupation or achievement. Later, they write sentences to tell who these people were. They follow an example: His name was William Shakespeare. He was a writer. Finally, they write about someone they admire from the past.

The above downloadable handout is best suited for high school students and adults at Elementary (A1) level. It was designed for improving your class' Writing skills. It includes the solutions, too.
