This activity is a memory game. In pairs or groups, students lay out the cards face down in rows on the table. The first player takes a card and turns it over. The player then chooses another card and turns it over. If the two cards match (for example, "writer" and "a picture of a writer"), the student gets a point and removes the matching cards from the table. But if the two cards don't match, the player returns them. Then a second player continues.

The above downloadable teaching material is a great resource for elementary school students, kindergartners and nursery school students and adults at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is aimed at practising Nouns in English, and is useful for strengthening your pupils' Reading skills. It features the theme of Jobs, work.
