Keepers or Killers - Conversation Practise

Sometimes you are asked a question that you can’t or don’t want to answer. For example if I ask you, "What are you going to do this weekend?" and you say, "I don’t know," you have killed the conversation. To keep the conversation going, you could say, "I’m not sure. What are you going to do this weekend?" In this activity we will practise a technique you can use to keep a conversation going even if someone asks you a difficult or an embarrassing question, or to end the conversation or change the topic.

The present downloadable worksheet is recommended for business/professional students, high school students and adults at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is excellent for strengthening your pupils' Speaking skills.
