You can use this any time after you have taught your students the verb "like" and some basic food words. It is suitable for complete beginners because there are no other verbs (hate, love etc.) You can use it at the beginning of next lesson to review the present simple of "like" or as a filler. You can cut the worksheet into four parts to use it for four students. Students tick the correct sentences and change the incorrect ones. After that you can have them translate the sentences into their first language. And after that you can collect the original slips of paper and make them translate the sentences back to English.

The above downloadable teaching material is intended for high school students, elementary school students and adults at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is aimed at consolidating Present simple tense in English. It features the topic and words of Food. It includes the answer key, too.

Hi. I am a Czech guy who started teaching in February 2011. I am not a trained teacher apart from doing a TEFL course. I do not have much free time and I am somewhat useless at using Office Word so I will try to do my worksheets simple but effective. You may have the same negative experience with many grammar exercise books that even if they focus on basic grammar they use vocabulary your students have never heard of at their level
