Mary Ann is a short story for beginners. It is about the things she likes, her best girlfriends and her brother. There are questions for comprehension and learning new words found in the story. This is be used as a pair or individual worksheet. This worksheet can also inspire younger learners to speak about themselves.

The above printable, downloadable handout is best suited for elementary school students and kindergartners and nursery school students at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is excellent for working on your class' Spelling, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills. It centers around the topic and words of Friends.

I've been an English teacher in Europe for 30 years. I love teaching and don't teach by a book. I make a lot of materials for my students. I use short films, board games, music, poetry, work with holidays and take pictures of my pupils to use in teaching materials. I also believe that writing should be started at a young age. My young learners wrote their first essay - which was only 5 lines long - but a good start. By the time they are teens, they are super good at writing! Learning should be fun!
