This is a board game to practise there is/there are and places in town.
Students should place the cards face down in a pile next to the board game.
They should all place their counters on start.
The first player picks up a card and answers the task:
• If he answers correctly, he shakes the dice and moves his counter the appropriate number of spaces on the board. He can then place his card at the bottom of the pile and the turn passes to the next player.
• If he cannot answer the task then the turn passes to the next player.

The object of the game is to get to the end of the board.
The player who does so first is the winner.

The above downloadable handout is meant for elementary school students and kindergartners and nursery school students at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is great for revising There is / there are / there was / there were / there will be, etc. in English, and is excellent for improving your learners' Speaking and Reading skills. It is focused on the topic and words of Places.
