The objective is to practice using a variety of phrasal verbs. The description of the phrasal verb is given and students spend 5 minutes in pairs finding out the name of the phrasal verb. EG. Imagine = make up. Once we go through answers as a class, students draw 4 ships (2 ships with 3 squares and 2 ships with 2 squares) on the game board and they don't show their partner. Their partner must guess where the other person's ships are by saying the phrasal verb square. One turn each. The first to find and sink all the ships wins. Students can can "hit", "miss" and "sunk" to tell their partner if they guess correctly.

This downloadable teaching material is intended for high school students and adults at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is great for teaching Phrasal verbs in English, and is useful for honing your learners' Speaking skills. You will find the answers at the end of the worksheet.
