After having used the simple past in communicative situations, after having studied pictures where something has happened (example: Whan the earthquake struck, I was Ving), this exercise is a drill to make them choose between the 2 forms of the preterite tense.

The present downloadable worksheet is intended for high school students, adults and students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, e.g. dyslexia at Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is a useful material for revising Past simple vs continuous tense in English, and is useful for working on your pupils' Writing skills.
