Retold by a very old storyteller, who couldn´t quite remember every detail, this fable is full of alterations. After reading the original story, you should read out the old storyteller´s version and your Ss should stop you when they hear a mistake. Or they can work with a partner, circle the mistakes, then try to reproduce the original text as fully as possible. There is a preposition exercise, too. Page 2 contains the solutions, Page 3 has original story.

The present printable, downloadable handout is recommended for elementary school students at Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is useful for developing your groups' Reading skills. The answer key is provided, too.
