10 classroom posters with well-known rhymes. I rewrite them on little paper hearts and cut them like puzzles (or zig-zag). At the beginning of the class, before the students sit down, each takes one half of the heart from my Valentine's bag, and has to find his/her pair to sit the whole hour together. They read aloud the rhyme, I pin it on the board (so others can see them too), and we explain the meaning. We use them later to make Valentine's cards.

The present printable, downloadable handout is recommended for elementary school students at Beginner (pre-A1), Elementary (A1) and Pre-intermediate (A2) level. It is useful for working on your groups' Listening, Speaking and Reading skills. It is focused on the vocabulary topic of Valentine's Day.
