This is a rather long and detailed description of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne followed by suggestions for an exercise in creative writing. This is a little bit out-of-date (2008) but I think a lot of it is still relevant. So now it's Gateshead Brown Ale, or it should be. Well... never mind. The "toon" is still very much alive.

The present downloadable worksheet is recommended for adults at Upper-intermediate (B2), Advanced (C1) and Proficient (C2) level. It can be used for enhancing your groups' Reading and Writing skills. It focuses on the topic and words of City, Countries, History, Tourism, Traditions, national customs, United Kingdom and World.
