Change the name and this could be a trip destination near you! It includes vocabulary, reading, gapfills, speaking and an optional Video as a warmer.
Play Staglands video ("Staglands Wildlife Reserve on Rural Delivery 2015". Approx 6 mins) on Youtube and SS discuss.
Tell SS about the Reserve and talk a little about the animals and facilities there. Pre-teach reading vocab then ask SS to look in the text for three things to do at Staglands.
Discuss areas and what is in them before giving SS area titles to match to sentences.

Hi! I live in New Zealand and teach low-level and often pre-literate refugees and migrants where the emphasis is on communication before proficiency! Speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing are the skills these students want and need first to survive in their new environment. Very interesting!
