I made this for my students. I use it as an opening for a lesson called ''Crimes and Detectives''. They really enjoy it. They also receive a worksheet they have to fill in to keep tracks of the investigation and gather clues. It's a great way to trick the students into speaking English for an entire hour (what they say is not receivable for the investigation unless they say it in English).

The above downloadable worksheet is best suited for high school students and elementary school students at Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is great for consolidating Past simple vs continuous tense in English, and can be used for strengthening your groups' Listening, Speaking and Reading skills. It is focused on the topic and words of Crime, law and punishment.
