I created these phonics cards to help my students practice various phonics sounds, sight words, CVC words and silent e words. I colour coded them to help them recognize the sound. I laminated the cards, cut them and played various games such as throwing some cards around the room, calling out the word and having the students search for the word. I also divide the class into two teams, give each student a number (1 student from each team has the same number, i.e. two students are 1, two students are 2, etc.). I hold up a phonics word and call out a number, the students with that number stand up and first one to say the word gets a point for their team. You could also have the students run to the board and slap the cards. You could give each students a set number of cards. Call out a card and the student with that card stands up and says the word. There are many things you can do with them!

The present downloadable teaching material is meant for elementary school students and kindergartners and nursery school students at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is great for practising Phonetics (pronunciation, IPA, phonetic symbols) in English.
