LEC, a Paris-based company, provides English language courses for French students in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia and Malta. The main aim is to improve students' English vocabulary and grammar and to increase their knowledge of the UK and its culture.
I am LEC's local organiser in Chelmsford. I am looking for a qualified TEFL teacher with experience to teach a group of up to thirty French students aged between 11-17. I have 3 groups coming in 2019. One in March, one in June and one in July. The students will be staying with local host families and lessons will be at Christchurch United Reformed Church, 164 New London Road, Chelmsford, CM2 0AW.
Teach 3 hours in the morning and supervise students during sports and cultural activities in the afternoon. You will teach classes in conjunction with a French teacher who accompanies the students from France.
Supervise students during the lunch break.
Monday 4th March -Friday 8th March.
Friday 21st June -Wednesday 26th June (including Saturday 22nd June).
Monday 8th July-Wednesday 17th July (including Saturday 13th July).
Personal qualities and credentials required
You enjoy working with students between 11-17 years old.
You are dynamic, organised, flexible and able to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
You are a native level English speaker and eligible to work in the UK
You are a qualified TEFL teacher and possess one of the following:
-A-Levels (2) or degree and TEFL Cambridge CELTA
-A-Levels (2) or degree and TEFL Trinity College TESOL
-A-Levels (2) or degree and PGCE
-English or foreign language Teacher with QTS status
0 years (beginners, too)
Bachelor degree (BA) in a relevant subject + Any accredited 100+ hour English teaching certif.
