As an Embassy Summer Activity Leader, you will be at the forefront of developing students' Life Skills by providing instruction, guiding and coaching. Together with your centre team, you will be responsible for maximising both student and Group Leader satisfaction.

It is our shared goal to ensure that every student leaves our Embassy Summer centres with the following:

Working week:

6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
44 hours per week (including preparation time)

Activity Leader duties include:

To lead, supervise, motivate and engage students on activities and trips
To enthusiastically promote the Activity Programme
To ensure adequate preparation and set up for on/ offsite activities
To prepare, plan and lead students on excursions
To maintain levels of discipline, safety and welfare
To assist in day to day general duties as instructed by senior management
To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people
To carry out residential supervision duties, including meal and bedtime supervision as requested by the Centre Manager
To complete 'prep time' in accordance with the requirements outlined by line managers to benefit the delivery of the activity and excursion programme
To help manage and maintain activity stock, which will include lifting and carrying of equipment
To assist and engage students with activities and excursions through the use of the Embassy Summer app

In accordance with our Company Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters, you will need to demonstrate:

The ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and demonstrate boundaries with children and young people
Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
A positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline
A high level of attention to detail

Who we are looking for

  2. Experience

    0 years (beginners, too)

    (Experience or interest in working with young people (Essential). Experience of working in a summer school environment (Desirable))

  3. Qualification

    No degrees expected

    (Educated to A-Level or equivalent (Essential). Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable). Specialism in sports coaching, drama and dance (Desirable).)

  6. Ability to deal with complexity and resolve problems and issues
