Activity Leader duties include:

To lead, supervise, motivate and engage students on activities and trips
To enthusiastically promote the Activity Programme
To ensure adequate preparation and set up for on / offsite activities
To prepare, plan and lead students on excursions
To maintain levels of discipline, safety and welfare
To assist in day to day general duties as instructed by senior management
To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people
To carry out residential supervision duties, including meal and bedtime supervision as requested by the Centre Manager
To complete 'prep time' in accordance with the requirement outlined by the line managers to benefit the delivery of the activity and excursion programme
To help manage and maintain activity stock, which will include lifting and carrying equipment
To assist and engage students with activities and excursions through the use of the Embassy Summer app

Who we are looking for

  1. Language proficiency

    Proficient speakers

  2. Experience

    Min. 1 year

    (Experience / or interest in working with young people (Essential). Experience of working in a summer school environment (Desirable).)

  3. Qualification

    No degrees expected

    (Educated to A-Level or equivalent (Essential))

  4. Valid First Aid certificate (Desirable)
  5. Specialism in sports coaching, drama and dance (Desirable)
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Excellent organisational and planning skills
  8. Ability to motivate and engage students
  9. Ability to deal with complexity and resolve problems and issues
  10. Ability to work under pressure
  11. Demonstrate initiative

What we offer

  1. From £303.26 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
  2. £44.80 deduction per week for residential accommodation (if required)
  3. If you have subscribed to the DBS update service, we will reimburse the £13 annual renewal fee.
  4. If you did not subscribe to this service, we will need to apply for a new DBS for you. Our Safer Recruitment Officer will discuss this with you.
