We are a British Council accredited summer school looking for energetic, creative and inspiring teachers to join our teams at Downe House (Berkshire) or Queenswood (Hertfordshire).2 or 3 week Contracts starting Friday 5th or 12th July - Saturday 27th July.

LINES Elite is a project-based programme for students to gain confidence in the skills needed for them to succeed in todays globalised world. You will guide and support students to encourage their creativity, critical thinking and problem solving abilities with opportunities for them to demonstrate new skills acquired through a series of tasks and projects.

LINES Elite subjects are as follows:

Entrepreneurship (the skills needed to run a business)
Management Skills (the skills needed to be an effective leader)
Capitalising your Capabilities (the skills needed to apply to University, for a Job or.)

Teachers for LINES Elite MUST have relevant experience teaching these (or related) business focused subject areas

LINES Hands-On are fun, task-based, creative sessions where the emphasis is on speaking real-world, practical English in a range of contexts including using social media, world travel, the environment and the world of celebrity.

What we offer

  1. Salary £350 per week plus £33.55 Holiday Pay per week
  2. Up to £100 per week bonus to teach on the LINES Elite Programme
  3. A 2 day, paid Staff Induction (5th - 6th July)
  4. Accommodation (single room, shared bathroom) and all meals provided
  5. Professional support from returning Directors of Studies at both schools

About the employer

LINES has two summer school sites, Queenswood in Hertfordshire, and Downe House in Berkshire. LINES students come from all over the world. They are aged between 6 and 18 years old. We are lucky to have a diverse range of students, with class sizes limited to max 10. As a teacher, you can expect to have a fun but busy summer! You will teach 4 days a week from 09.00 - 16.30 and go on a weekly academic excursion. We ideally require teachers with extensive, prior summer school experience.
