I made this presentation for the first lesson after summer holidays. You may use it at the end of the school year like revision.


The game is based on HOT SPOT 2 (macmillan) threfore some listening tasks were taken from the book. But you may replace them with your own activities.

Jeopardy Knowledge Game

With this PPT game students can learn or revive simple present actions. First they look at the picture (and the words supplied) and say what the people usually do. Encourage students to speak first. Then they listen to the sentence (and repeat it) and click the right words to form the sentence. There is also a check button which shows what they have heard.

DAILY ROUTINES - a listening + speaking game

This is a presentation, suitable also for interactive white boards, which covers a whole lesson. It begins with a little grammar (have to be commented, but very simply), which is followed by a short story and in the end, of course there is a game (multiple choise).

Past Simple - was/were

HOW TO PLAY - Divide the class into four teams. Taking turns they try to figure out each word by reading clues (each team can guess 5 words). Encourage students to make wild guesses - there is a solve button which can be pressed at any time to reveal the answer (but students should be sure first and encouraged to use more than one clue). The group scores according to how many clues they used. No points are awarded for wrong guesses.
