linking words - giving examples & adding information

The first few slides show the student how to add "ly" to an adjective to form an adverb. The teacher can even point out the verbs that require the change and then ask students to pinpoint the verbs. Then students make changes to the adjective.

A PPT that explains the rules regarding when to add an s or es to the end of a verb in the singular third person. There are also some exercises at the end that allow students to practice what they have just learned.

The PPT includes examples and explanations for types of gerunds and functions of gerunds. It's appropriate for upper-intermediate and advanced level students. You can use it revise that grammar if Ss are already familiar with this grammar point.

This activity helped me a lot with the numbers spelling of students at beginner levels of all ages. By dividing the class into groups and having students participate in a contest, in which the winner is the one that complete the operation apprprioately, students have fun and challenge their brain.
