Teens and Adults

This is a powerpoint presentation I prepared for my conversation class (intermediate onwards). It contains some vocabulary activities, discussion questions, and a short video. The spinning wheel at the end is meant to work as a "Speak for a minute about..." activity). It took me several classes to complete the whole set of activities, as everybody had something to say!

I suggest using different types of grouping for the various activities.

IMPORTANT:

My class is quite relaxed, we're pretty much the same age and we get on well, but the situations to give advice nearly at the end might not be appropriate for some groups.

It is a text about Christmas with blanks that should be filled in with the Christmas vocabulary from the box, which the teacher should have already discussed with the class before, showing pictures, videos, etc. I have a ppt presentation about it shared here as well.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well
