It's a game to use with an interactive board.

Students are divided into groups- each group must write as many words as they can in 1 minute from a specific category beginning with a specific letter (for example: category: job, letter "s"; answers: secretary, soldier, spy...). Great as a warm-up or finisher. Useful at any level.

This ppt goes through the alphabet, giving clues to the words beginning with that letter. 4 letters per slide, the first set fairly easy; the second set a bit more demanding. The answers fly in. This took me ages! Hope it will be useful. 

Something that begins with...

Test for very young learners to check if they are able to recognize the beginning letter sound. Best suited for pre-kindergarten ages 5 to 7. The colorful pictures will make the kids more interested.

What's the beginning sound?

irregular verbs. This is for absolute beginners and includes only a few of the verbs that begin with the letter B. Students need to master irregular verbs very early on.

A good phonics activity to help practice 'ug' with beginning sounds. Spin the spinner and combine the beginning sounds with 'ug'! Fill in the gaps for the story after learning new words. :)
