way of thinking.It also develops writing skill, especially task based writing.It's an activity which offers great fun, and can be used even as a teamwork.



Break the ice, break the mind

A Present Perfect Game for your students which will help them practise this tense. 



Tell your students that we usually can hear the examples of PP while watching the news. And they have to become the TV presenters for a while and invent the news using a picture. 



If you have a group of student ask everyone for their ideas so that they can compare their ideas, this will bring more fun :) 

The Breaking News

This is a redesigned  ppt from the user  loveteaching´s previous ppt about present continuous.



How to use it: Divide the class into groups. Groups take turns to break down a wall (brick by brick) to reveal the action. When enough bricks are removed, groups can try to guess the action. To check students' answers, click the check button and the whole picture is revealed (the wall simple crumbles).

Teachers set up pairs in class and let students sit back to back. 2 players write 3 things for each bullet points and get a point for each common answer. (up to 9 points per pair, 6 pairs max)

Jeopardy Game # 2 - Verb Tenses

Now you can play a famous quiz game with your students! (elementary)


I made this presentation for the first lesson after summer holidays. You may use it at the end of the school year like revision.


The game is based on HOT SPOT 2 (macmillan) threfore some listening tasks were taken from the book. But you may replace them with your own activities.

Jeopardy Knowledge Game

A PPT with slides having questions students can practise speaking ability on. Students pair up (one student has his/her back on the board and the other faces it reading the question aloud for the student with his/her back on the board to answer. Tell them they have to keep going for 60 seconds. Do five slides then switch seats! Have fun!

5 second rule - Vocabulary game

This PPT is designed as a speaking activity.
