This activity can be used as a poster to illustrate the pronunciation of the alphabet letters. It can be very useful to remind students when they are spelling words. It's a cake in which each layer corresponds to a groups of letters that have similar sounds.

Alphabet cake

Fun activity for teaching cooking measurements: aka, cup, 1/2 cup, teaspoon, etc. Students then are encouraged to make their own "crazy" recipe!

Monster Cake

Activity designed for students to memorize some WH words. What / Where/ When / How / How old. It's a small and simple story. You can work on some vocab too, with words such as dog and cake

A pretty basic powerpoint talking about healthy and unhealthy food. Can be used to elicit food vocabulary from the pictures. Brief description of what constitutes healthy and unhealthy food. By no means comprehensive, but works in a pinch. No notes included in the powerpoint.

With this PPT children can learn about the party vocabulary. Words: ballons, horn, candies, chocolate, clown, confetti, mask, hat, cake, circus.

Students will learn the basic uses of DO/Does/Did. You will find samples with pictures throughout the PPT. This is good for any age but is geared toward children. It is cutting off the last page with the gap-fill examples.  You will have to create your own.

Do Does Did 

This class focusses on the food vocabulary and the use of a/ some/ any. The first part of the class goes over lots of food vocabulary that the learners should be familiar with before the class. 



The next activity shows jumble letters and the learners have to unjumble these to make the ingredients for some recipes.



The learner is then asked for the ingredients needed in a cake- this is a speaking activity and the learners should be encouraged to say 'some eggs...'. 



The final activity tasks the learners with making their own recipes, for this they should use a/ an/ a lot of/ some.
