IT IS A TRANSPORTATION CONTEXT FILE WITH CHINESE TRANSLATION.  I MAKE ALL MY PPTS WITH BLACK BACKGROUND AND YELLOW COPY AS I FIND IT EASIER FOR THE STUDENTS TO SEE.  i ALSO PUT THE COPY AT THE TOP FOR THE SAME REASON.  I USE REAL PICTURES INSTEAD OF CARTOOS AS I BELIEVE THE STUDENTS ENJOY THESE PICS MORE.  I USE FOR GRADE 1 THRU GRADE 3 AND FOR ADULT BEGINNER CLASSES

TRANSPORTATION CONTEXT

See the contexts for a new word and for the verbs DO and MAKE and practice using them in the given contexts. As DO and MAKE are very commonly used in English, but some other languages may have only one verb for both English versions, DO and MAKE seem difficult for beginners and intermediate students. Seeing the way these words are used in English and getting their meaning in English may help students to start thinking in English, and not in their native language.

Vocabulary and contexts

A lesson on Context Clues. Best used for reading exercises. The theme of the lesson is Sherlock Holmes, wherein students role play a detective in pursuit of mystery words in an attempt to search for meanings of difficult words. This lesson covers Reading and Vocabulary.
