dialogue

This dialog tries to introduce a few challenging vocabulary terms and a couple of longer, more sustained sentences.  It may include some attempts at humor.  I\'ll usually read through it myself and have students translate into their own language to build comprehension, and then we\'ll take turns reading/playing the different roles.

Dialogue: Caps

This dialogue is between two friends, a boy and a girl, where the girl is trying to set up a friend of hers with a friend of the boy's.  It focuses on adjectives, including multi-adjective terms.  It also has a fair amount of slang.

Matchmaker dialogue

A collection of everyday situations for role-plays. The task is based on EORO exam speaking task. Students are given some expressions to use to help them go on with the dialogue.

We got in one last class before running out of public spaces to hold our ESL classes.  Fittingly enough, the topic was the Corona virus.  This lesson includes the dialogue and the accompanying vocabulary.

Money talks_ESL dialogue

This is a 1-page dialogue (with an accompanying vocabulary breakout) about a father and daughter cooking dinner together, using an old family recipe.  There's a heavy emphasis on the terms "enough" and "too much" in here.
