Think Tales: Tiddalick the Frog is a material that can be used to help students to examine and investigate the context and meaning of an Australian indigenous story "Tiddalick the Frog" through six aspects: character, setting, problem, solution, message and question. This also aims to encourage students to share their own stories. This material was designed by Sirhajwan Idek and it is also available in ESL Printables.

Actually, I've already uploaded a PowerPoint presentation about this Disney movie, but it was an introduction to Simple Past Tense and its regular verbs. This one is about adjectives, and it uses the characters from the movie to talk about their meanings, inspiring students to write their own texts.

Click on the Frogs eyes to move the Fly (hours) or the Bee (5 minutes).   Have the students say what approximate time is it using the Bee for the minutes.  Around 12:05.

It's a PPT class that I use to intriduce/teach Simple Past (regular verbs and verb to be) after a movie activity. Disney's "The Princess and The Frog" is a good story in which verbs can be easily understood by students. I hope you like it! :)

The Princess and The Frog - Simple Past

With this PPT students can practise vocabulary on clothes. The pictures hang from a clothes line. Clicking on the wrong frog will make it leap away. The correct frog will make a funny frog call and reveal an animated frog underneath. Hope you like it.

CLOTHES PPT

Students are given a simple question with two possible answers.  The answers are random. Students will have to guess the answer during the first round and then have the answers memorized by the second or third round. Students may be surprised that the questions do not have predictable answers at first but that adds to the fun.

What Does Mom Like?

Students look at a flag and choose which one country it is from. There are 28 flags in all. The students can form a line and pick the answers individually or students can play in groups.

Students will practice using the past progressive (continuous) tense to describe various outdoor activities. Students can play in teams. Each student can choose an activity which will reveal a certain number of points. Don't choose the bomb!
