Students must come up with ideas to overcome the problems.



Step 1. Imagine you and your students were going on holiday but something went wrong and now you are on an isolated island. The island is not friendly and you will have to survive there. 



Step 2. Your students choose 7 objects that can be useful in the future. They have to discuss why they want to take this or that thing and persuade everyone. 



Step 3. You fill in the yellow/blue gaps with the objects you have chosen and move step by step on a boardgame. 



Step 4. Move the counters step by step/using a video of a dice. Students have to give possible solutions and discuss them.



NOTE! Students can use not only the given object but also "natural things" that can be around (trees, leaves, coconuts and etc.) 



Additionally, you can play in two teams, then the other team must agree with the opponents' solution, only after that they can make a move. 



I created this game to practice the infinitive of purpose.

A -AN gAME

Feelings are the basic model of relationships between people. Many children do not know how to properly Express their emotions and vent them out with violence. With this game, we will teach students to Express their feelings. We will repeat the verb to be, remember how to ask questions, how to build negative sentences and affirmative ones. My students absolutely love this game - you can play it with whatever words come to mind. It's a great warm-up or a filler... So how to play (you surely know it, but...)



1. Students are divided into teams (the best is when there are 3 or 4 people in one group but it's also bad to have more than 5 teams.. you won't be able to control them - but you may also put some students to control the others). 

2. One person from the team turns his back to the black/white board.

3. You can write the words with a chalk/marker or project them on the board.

4. FOR THIS GAME Students who can see the board say the infinitive, the one who can't see the board say the past tense. 

FOR ANOTHER GAMES, with different words - more advanced students describe the word in English, lower levels say the word in their native tongue and the one who cannot see the board say the English version.



They don't have to say the whole sentences, it's just to help them understand what verb it should be.



The solution is in the last slide so that you don't have to think hard what the pictures mean :-)



5. Who says (actually... shout. lot of shouting. be prepared for that) the correct word receives one point for his/her group.

Emotions guessing game for learning vocabulary. 

Emotions guessing game

Students will practice using the past progressive (continuous) tense to describe various outdoor activities. Students can play in teams. Each student can choose an activity which will reveal a certain number of points. Don't choose the bomb!

Outdoor Activities Game

This is a hidden object game to practice vocabulary and prepositions. The students will be able to make sentences using prepositions in a meaningful context. there are some key words on each slide but of course the students can tell lots of extra other objects and make a lot of sentences

Print out the card and put them on the table/floor face down. The students have pick 2 cards and if the cards match the contraction and the 2 words they are contracting they keep the cards. The person with the most cards wins!
