Generation Gap

In this pair work activity, students ask about the names of the members of the Simpsons Family. Lisa is common to both sheets, so students should start by asking questions like "What is the name of Lisa's father?" A master copy with all names is included.

The generation gap

This ESL slideshow aims at drilling the grammar rules on the articles (indefinite, definite and zero article). Students fill in the gaps with the missing words to make the sentences complete.

The Articles Gap-Filling

Students have to complete the words according to the letters they have and the number of blank spaces. When they complete all the words, they have to relate the word to the correct picture by numbering it. This file has two levels of difficulty.

Making a Shopping List - Gap-filling activity

I designed this to accompany an existing prezi lesson plan for The Cup Song as performed by Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect and subsequently covered. We used this very easy gap fill to get more familiar with the lyrics while glancing back at the comparative and superlative of the word "pretty." We learned the cup percussion pattern first without cups, slowly and accelerating. When they were ready we added the cheap paper coffee cups.
