Get here and you are ready to study in English at university

I use the board to draw it. Each slide is assigned to a group / student. it's good to review vocabulary and to practice the alphabet. Each time they say a letter, click on it and it will appear; each time they say a letter that is not part of the word (non-clickable), draw one part of the hangman (arm, head, legs, etc.). If they want, they can say the word before it's completed. If they complete or say the word before you finish drawing the hangman, they win a point. Once the hangman is complete, they lose it.

HALLOWEEN THE HANGMAN GAME PART TWO

Click on the correct letter to spell the animal.  If incorrect, hangman will start up on the left of the screen. If correct, the animal puzzle will be placed together. 

Sorry, I am not making anymore of these as it takes a lot of time.  Use it as an icebreaker and also to realize that puzzles can be used in PowerPoint. That is if you have time to make the puzzle pieces.

With this game students can practise writing some verbs (regular and irregular) in the past simple. Pictures will help student to figure out the right verbs. Hope you enjoy it.

Hangman - Past Simple - Regular and Irregular Verbs

This powerpoint is meant to practice using articles (includeing the zero article - "nothing") in English with students. I suggest using it as a game. The teacher can draw a hangman on the board and ask the students to give the answers. Every time a student gives a wrong answer, the teacher must draw a new body part of the hangman. The goal is to complete the story!



The second part is very kinesthetic. Students are asked to use their body to show which article they would use to complete specific sentences.

CHRISTMAS THE SNOWMAN GAME

This works as a hangman game. Student read a sentence and type in the right place. They can use the hint button to reveal the picture either to help them or to check their answers. Other students can help by spelling out the words.

PUBLIC PLACES & SHOPS - 24 slide spelling game

This is a PowerPoint game I adapted (didn't create this myself) I used it for vocabulary (crops and condiments) You can change it as you like or even create a grammar version.

It involves a picture of the vocabulary hidden in the middle and 6 folders with hints in them. So I started the game by giving 6 points to each team and I reduced 1 point for each hint the team has revealed. I also added funny or ugly/scary pictures for some surprise effect and if the team gets a nice picture they get 1 point extra or I take away 1 point for an ugly picture. Students get to choose which folder to reveal. it doesn't have to be in order. I kept my clues simple as my kids are kind of beginners.

What's in the Box? Vocabulary game

2nd graders. Fruits (apple, orange, watermelon, grape, melon, grapefruit, banana, lemon, peach). It is in hangman style, but no hanging anything at all :) Instead, I prepared stars for the winner and a skull for the loser.
