This presentation has been created to revise the vocabulary concerning feelings and emotions in an entertaining way.

The teacher shows the adjectives and then, he /she can make sentences, for example, “I’m happy”, “He /She is happy”, and also ask questions to the students: “Are you tired? – Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.



He/she can teach the verb “to be” to make sentences with different subject pronouns and use the images to revise the vocabulary related to shapes as well.

Children identify BOY or Girl. It is a good ppt tto use with pre- scholers (Kindergarten). we focus on the use of HE/SHE. It is useful for teachers who teach four - five years old kids. In this presentation, Kids discriminate, identify and infer the information about the topic.you can use to teach , boy - girl-

Vocabulary of countries and nationalities with he, she, and verb to be. Nationalities are introduced with famous people from the country. At the end, there's a little exercise so students can practice with the he and she form

Countries and nationalities

It is a powerpoint about professions and occupations. At the beggining of the class the teacher asks students to draw different professions ( students will surely draw   stereotyped ones).For example when asked to draw a pilot they will draw a male pilot and when asked to draw a teacher they will draw a female teacher. After  they finished drawing the teacher will talk about stereotypes about gender and work (very briefly because they are young) and then  she will show some short videos about women who have unusual jobs like a female worker- a female pilot- a female mechanic and so on. (this part had to be removed from the original powerpoint since it would be impossible to upload it)

This worksheet is a very simple presentation of numbers 1-10  in the written way and a matching in the last sheet to revise a reinforce what has just been seen.

This is for advanced English learners. I prepared this PPT for 5th grade students at a bi-lingual school in Shenzhen, China. Most of the students in my class were pretty proficient at English.

Reptiles and Birds

This short IELTS practise ppt is part of my series covering speaking tasks. It is mainly about describing and giving personal information for part 1 answers. 



It does not include much preparatory vocabulary and so it requires the teaching of home vocabulary and a basic introduction to IELTS speaking to be done beforehand. Please refer to my other ppts for these.



The first slide is a simple information sheet, students fill them out and ask each other simple questions in pairs to compare their information with each other.



The second activity: for small groups, is a vocabulary exercise where the students draw and label their homes and then help each other to complete the labelling with words they don't know.



The third slide: individual students and then pairs, is a good opportunity to test students on their knowledge of adjectives nouns and verbs. It is an answer shell where the students reference the complete answer and use their own homes to complete a lengthy description. Then students read and compare their answers.



Finally, there is a selection of questions from past IELTS exams covering the topic of home for the students to answer.

IELTS speaking part 1: Home

Pupils are talking english, are trying to gather as many identical pairs as they can, are trying to win and are having fun. Meanwhile they are practicing forming questions and giving answers using the present simple. I made 6 pairs for each of the personal pronouns she-he-it, as my pupils were making an awful lot of mistakes with these. I also added 3 pairs for each of the other personal pronouns. 36 pairs in all, a cover, instructions and rules of the game are all included in the document. Print, cut and enjoy!

This PPT aims to teach the present simple forms of the verb to be (am-is-are) in the most basic level, the simplest way possible. The subjets (I, you, we, they, he, she, it) and verb to be forms (am-is-are) are highlighted, and rules chart is given at the very end, with hopes of making use of inductive grammar teaching.
