This material serves as a dictoglass activity in which the learners are required to write down (on the board, or on thier notebooks) what they hear. dictogloss helps learners improve writing-spelling and listening skills simultaneously. This material includes various English accents, so is a great way to raise awareness on different accents. :)

Dictogloss (Write What You Hear)

With this PPT game students can learn or revive simple present actions. First they look at the picture (and the words supplied) and say what the people usually do. Encourage students to speak first. Then they listen to the sentence (and repeat it) and click the right words to form the sentence. There is also a check button which shows what they have heard.

DAILY ROUTINES - a listening + speaking game

A simple game for students to practise both objects in the living room and prepositions of place. First students listen, repeat and match the words they hear with the right pictures. Then there is a multiple choice task on where the objects are located.

Here is a simple PPT which can help students differentiate between the two of them keeping it very easy and simple. I didn't want to include the uses for predictions and promises, I wanted to keep it only for planned and not sure activities because I used it with 4th Graders.

This PowerPoint presentation contains flashcards on the five senses. It contains pictures and sounds (just pass the mouse over the hearing slide) that can be used to present the content.

It can be used to present the vocabulary or to check it by showing the picture or the word.

I made 30 questions about board, card, tabletop, and dice games. If the students don't know what some of the games are you can explain them. Then have them explain some games from their country that you've never heard of.

DORA AND THE CAVE. ANIMALS.

This a game I prepared for my intermediate students to develop their oral and listening skills. There are 9 words (with different levels of difficulty) and the students are to click on the word they (think they) hear; only getting all the words right they will reach the end of the game, if they choose the wrong word they lose and the game's over.
