This older teens/adult lesson is suitable for online or classroom teaching. *Warning* - values and morals are explored - great for conversation but not suitable for some classrooms/cultures. 
 Students will give their opinions on a wide range of scenarios, none of which have a definitive 'correct' answer. The second conditional is not taught here but it is necessary to use it competently to take part in the discussion.

Student have to solve murder! Students one box at a time in any order they like, and they talk about what happened and when it happened: What happened before it, what happened after it. These boxes contain the clues of the murder which they have to put in order.

Comparatives and Superlatives (intermediate level)

This older teens/adult lesson is suitable for online or small group teaching. The main focus is cars, vocabulary in British and American English related to cars (trunk/boot etc.), conversation about the different makes of cars and their reputation (reliable, sturdy etc.), and the student's/students' experiences of driving. Environmental issues are NOT covered here because I use a separate presentation to discuss them.

 This PowerPoint can easily be stretched over 2 lessons, and there is a lot of scope for discussion here. It is quite complex, but please don't let that put you off - this presentation is tried and tested over many classes and students.

Useful powerpoint presentation to revise the vocabulary learnt on English File 4th edition, pre intermediate level unit 9A. 
 I use it in the class that follows the one in which we learnt the vocabulary to help students memorize the new words.

Animals vocabulary - Pre intermediate (flashcards)

It uses world famous Animation Director Miyazaki work Totoro. By reading the story of two sisters and Totoro, the students enjoy the reading as well as learning new words along the way.

Intermediate Level Vocabulary Power Point

Speaking tasks for intermediate oral exams 

This is a presentation I made in Google Docs.  I uploaded it using PowerPoint format though.  It's cool for students at the intermediate-beginner level I think.  I use it in a class of 40 students using a projector.



There are some speechbubbles at the end which I use to have students stand in front of the picture to illistrate pronouns and perspective to reinforce 'subject' 'be' 'going to' 'verb' format.
