Inventions - Passive Voice Practice

A "passive" way to introduce passive tense using the phrase "When was it invented?"



Put students in groups. Give them some scrap paper and a pen. Show them the pictures and ask them the question. Each group should guess the year. The closest group wins! You can give bonus points depending on how close they get if you want.

A PPT presentation about a lesson entitled "The Best and The Worst". It aims at recycling vocabulary associated with inventions and inventors and discussing the good and the bad inventions.

On this powerpoint presentation, the students had been already introduced the past simple and how to tell a date.  Therefore, these slides are useful in the way that the teacher can encourage learners to provide the use of prepositions of time and place such as in, on and at when referring to a point, period or year in time. This presentation can also help Ss to improve their fluency and pronunciation.



I applied it to my learners and they found it great.
