This presentation was made for 3rd grade Chinese ELL's that study at an international school in Beijing, China. It contains an introduction to the standard forms and word forms of numbers, as well as an introduction to skip counting. It also has some word problems and an introduction ordinal numbers.

It is an interdisciplinar  game where the students have the opportunity to practice the four math operations and have fun as well. They have five seconds to tell de result of the math operation. Can be played in pairs or groups and in on line classes. It is good as an ice break or at the end of the class.

Maths Test ESL Grade 1

This activity helped me a lot with the numbers spelling of students at beginner levels of all ages. By dividing the class into groups and having students participate in a contest, in which the winner is the one that complete the operation apprprioately, students have fun and challenge their brain.

The four big math operations

This presentation includes adition and substraction of numbers.


Whichever student uses this must know the numbers all the way to twenty.


If a student struggles with the math part of the exercise, AKA they don't know the answer, the number will appear first when you click the presentation, then they only have to say the name of that number, which will show once you click again.
