A general vocabulary activity for beginners. Students have to decide which word doesn't belong to the group and give a reason why. Suggested reasons are given. I hope it's useful.

Multiple choice game on vocabulary review.

This is a game for elementary. The game shows that students are able to choose the different one of some pictures. For example: there are five pictures, four of them are apple, mango, grape, banana, and another is cat. it shows that the four pictures are kinds of fruit, and cat is not included to that class of fruit. The students have to answer and explain it.

Odd One Out (Past Simple)

Sit in a circle. Pass a “hot potato” around the circle. This can be any small object. Play music. When the music stops, the person holding the hot potato must choose the panel on the screen(ppt file) and answer. Play continues. Enjoy!

Objective: revisit the pronunciation of \'ed\' past regular verbs.

Pupils have to choose which verb is the odd-one-out in each slide. To make it more fun, divide the class into teams and set a time per slide to spot the odd one. They jot it down and then you show the answer. At the end of the slideshow check which team got the most right. 

Extra- Afterwards, in same teams get them to jot down as many of the verbs they can remember per slide. Then they watch the PPT again and check their answers.
